John Parkinson

Founder and Director

John Parkinson founded the company in 2007.  John has over 30 years’ experience working in the Information Technology industry in the private sector and in UK local government.  He has been providing software products and technical consultancy services to social housing organisations since 1996, and has worked with Australian housing providers since 1998, including Housing New South Wales and ACT Housing. 

John has performed a broad range of roles covering all phases of the software development life cycle, and has been responsible for the delivery of numerous software projects.  He is familiar with a wide range of processes, technologies and development tools.  He has a history of successfully delivering solutions for customers, focusing on the business and technical factors that are required to produce a successful business outcome.

As Customer Services Manager with Northgate Public Services, he successfully delivered customer services to housing clients in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.  This involved:

  1. Customer support
  2. Software development
  3. Interface development
  4. Software installation
  5. Database administration
  6. Technical consultancy
  7. Development of customer performance reports.

Roger Jameson

Director

Roger Jameson is a fully qualified Housing Manager, holding a professional qualification in housing management. 

He has nearly 40 years’ experience working as a housing practitioner and in providing software consultancy services and products to the social housing sector in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the Netherlands.  This experience includes:

  • 16 years working as a housing practitioner in various management roles in the UK and Australia
  • 23 years working in senior roles for software companies including Northgate Information Solutions; Sx3; First Software; Oracle Corporation UK Ltd and SPM Assets.

This rich blend of experience has enabled him to develop an in-depth understanding of information systems and their implications on processes; strategy; project management; implementation and performance reporting.

He is a Member of the Australasian Housing Institute (MAHI) and has been certified as a Chartered Information Technology Professional by both the British and New Zealand Computer Societies.

Roger served as a Board Director of the Australasian Housing Institute (AHI) from 2005-2009 (also holding the position of Chair of the AHI New Zealand Branch from 2004-2009) and St. George Community Housing from 1998 – 1999.  He has also served as a member of the AHI New South Wales Branch Committee from 2013-2015.

He has written various articles in the UK on social housing and information systems and has contributed to publications produced by the UK Chartered Institute of Housing; the Housing Corporation and the Association of District Councils. 

More recently, he has given presentations on housing management and information systems at the PowerHousing Australia Conference as well as presentations on asset planning methodologies at the Australian National Housing Conference.  In addition, whilst working for Housing Choices Australia in Melbourne from 2010-2011 he also led the PowerHousing Australia working group in setting up a benchmarking framework.
